Hair or Bare?

I am reminded of a story.  I was 18 years old in Navy boot-camp, shell shocked to say the least already, when I was introduced to shaving for the first time.  In the midst of a free Sunday one of my shipmates announced that she was gonna shave her legs.  I was intrigued as I had only been shaving my underarms (of course) for the past 5 years.  So I secured a razor and proceeded to the open bay shower where I had my lesson. I loved the results and have been hooked ever since.  Hair is an enemy of the leg in my opinion, but I know that there are so many women who feel differently.

So the question that arises today is this: do you shave your legs?  For some of you there is no question about it, you wouldn’t be caught in public with hair on your lower extremities.  There are however women who wouldn’t dare touch a razor to their skin. There is of course no medical need for shaving, it just feels good.

P.S. My mom doesn’t shave and I love her dearly…

I would totally love it if parents would stop completely blaming pop culture for raising their children.  I mean if you don’t do it someone has to.  I recently came across an article that complained about Rihanna’s pic on the cover of American Vogue.

I would normally agree (and I read the article first) but there has to be a point when we stop blaming “the talent”. We are gonna have to remember that Rihanna is an adult, her musical content is adult, Vogue is an adult magazine, and the dress she wore from the Chanel pre-fall collection is definitely for adults. I have a six yr old son and I know that it can be very hard to shield children from “adult” things, especially with the electronic age but it is still our responsibility! Rihanna is not part of the Mickey Mouse Circuit. She is a grown woman who has dealt with grown woman things and I think she has a right to sing about it. BTW I’m not even really a fan I just think “we” need to be careful with the blame game.
